U-TECK has developed the Vent-Tent, a portable shelter with more safety features than any other
manufacturer currently has available in today’s market

The Vent-Tent is specially designed to safeguard the craft person from fatal carbon monoxide build-up.
The standard features that U-TECK installed allow air to be fully circulated by the following methods:
• Three of the sides have a lower-level vent, which allows for up to 18 inches of opening for air
circulation at ground level.
• Two of the sides have a window, which may also be opened for upper-level air circulation.
• The combination of open lower-level vents and open windows allows for cross-ventilation, which
eliminates the possibility of fatal carbon monoxide build-up.

U-TECK has also installed a “sock” in the back of the Vent-Tent to allow for a ventilator hose, blower, or
heater-blower combination to be hooked up.

In addition to carbon monoxide protection, the VentTent, with its roll-up bottom and side windows, is excellent on a hot, rainy day!

We have all been there, trying to find a telecom pedestal among a jungle of weeds and spending too much time and money keeping these pedestals clear of invasive weed growth. The old solutions of routinely trimming and spraying herbicides can be problems in themselves. U-TECK has perfected an innovative alternative for vegetation growth around pedestals with our WeedEnder Ped-Mat. This product has been used by the telecom industry, with excellent results, for 15 years.

Used at telecommunications pedestals, and cross-connect cabinets, the WeedEnder Ped-Mat’s dense fibers are made with 100% recycled plastic drink bottles. These fibers deprive weeds of sunlight while allowing water and nutrients to easily pass through to maintain the root system around the mat. This minimizes erosion while controlling vegetation growth around the pedestal without herbicides or labor intensive mowing and trimming.

Not to be confused with landscape fabrics, the ¼ inch matting is rugged and strong, held in place with a specially designed 316 stainless steel staking system created especially for use with WeedEnder Vegetation Control Products. This material is so durable trucks can be driven over it without any damage. But as tough as it is, WeedEnder offers unusual versatility by allowing it to be rolled up in the event of line repairs or additions then rolled back into position without any decrease in performance.

U-TECK’s Cable Reel Pole Bracket is necessary tool when deploying Aerial Fiber Optic, COAX cables or Pulling Tape. This Pole Bracket holds Fiber Cable Reels and Spools up to 36” in diameter, and 10” in width to the utility pole. This Pole Bracket is perfect for deploying drops.

Simply attach the bracket using two, self-retracting ratchet straps.

The frame shape design allows for a firm, non-slip grip on wooden poles of varying diameters, hexagonal shaped, composite, or steel poles.

The Cable Reel Pole Bracket comes complete with a set of two 3” bushings designed to snugly fit onto the 1.25” diameter shaft.

Since various cable manufacturers supply their drop reels with cores featuring either 1.25” or 3” internal diameters, rest assured that U-TECK has your needs fully addressed.
