U-TECK Celebrates its 30th AnniversaryWith employees, customers, venders and local business leaders in attendance, U-TECK celebrates 30th Anniversary with donations, food, fellowship and fun Fayetteville, N.C. – Jun. 12, 2014 – U-TECK, a developer of specialized products for the telecommunications, utility, municipal and transportation industries, recently celebrated their 30th business year. Employees gathered together on the corporate headquarters lawn, along with invited guests, to an informal afternoon gala, complete with music, food and games. With hamburgers, and temperatures, sizzling, employees mingled with local community leaders to reflect on the achievement and discuss how important U-TECK is to the Fayetteville business community. Said Bobby Hurst, Fayetteville City Councilman, “I know that the chamber and the alliance, the city council and our 208,000 citizens, offer congratulations and thank you for the great work that you do, the unique products that you offer and the jobs you’ve created.” Ann Seuhr, U-TECK CEO, took a few minutes to remind those in attendance of the generous nature of U-TECK’s founder, Russ Mason, Jr. The charity honoring his memory, and funded by U-TECK profits, marked the 30th anniversary with donations to several local foundations and organizations, including the Ft. Bragg Fisher House. Employees were reminded how important the role of each team member was for both the 30th year achievement and for future achievements of U-TECK. “None of this would have been possible without our people, all of our people are very important to us, we’re family.” said Russ Mason, III, Vice President of U-TECK. “From the products that we build, to the customer service that we offer, to the R&D efforts that we put in, we’ve built our company and positioned ourselves in our markets to be one of those go-to companies that people come to when they have a problem or need a solution to a problem – we get our people together and come up with a product to solve it.” Employees were all dressed in classic baseball shirts illustrating the company’s dedication to quality. Two 30th anniversary edition corn hole games awaited friendly competition. Specialty and industry standard products were on display, and showed just how far U-TECK has come since its humble beginnings as a distribution company. “I can‘t believe it, 30 years! It’s been a long road, and it seems like we just keep getting better and better!” said Linda Hoppmann, President and CFO, U-TECK.
